Lest selbst was Vans dazu sagt:
Danny's appointment follows the promotion of Alexis Jauzion to Vans & Reef Sponsorship Manager EMEA who was responsible for the Management of the Skate Team until now:
'We're stoked to keep Danny in the Vans family.  We know he is the right person for the job and he will make sure that the Vans Europe skate team continues to be at the top.'

Danny's new role seems like the obvious choice and can de described as an organic one. Danny has been Pro on the International Vans Team for 14 out of the 20 years he has been skating. Vans are excited to be able to have one of the most influential European Skaters of the last decade step it up through the ranks and become part of Marketing Team.

Apart from the countless Video parts and editorial coverage, Danny was also a Pro on Powell Peralta for 13 years and has been a European Champion. As well as his skills on the board and as a renowned artist, Danny brings to the table an extensive business knowledge of the Skate Industry foremost as the Co-Owner of the infamous Fifty-Fifty Skate Shop in Bristol which he co-founded 12 years ago.

Danny says about his new appointment: 'Having achieved many goals in my career as a professional skateboarder, I feel this is a great opportunity utilize my experience, creativity and reputation. I’ve been part of the Vans family for many years and think it’s a natural progression for me to take on this challenge.'

Expect to see the European Vans Team out in full force this year at a contest or event near you and make sure you check Vans.com for updates and news.
